TRIANGULATE · DATA PRACTICE · VERSION 2.0

Privacy, in plain language.

TRIANGULATE is intended for adults and for personal development. It is not a clinical service, diagnostic tool, crisis service, or employment assessment.

On this device

Your progress is stored in this browser's local storage so you can close the page and return. It stays on this device unless you enable generative features, choose to save results to the server, contribute research data, or send an observer invitation.

Generative features

Generative mode is optional and requires explicit consent. When enabled, assessment context is sent through this server to the Anthropic API so Claude can write questions, code written responses, conduct a downward-arrow exchange, or write an interpretation. Written responses may contain sensitive personal material.

Anthropic says commercial API inputs and outputs are not used for model training by default and are normally deleted from its backend within 30 days, subject to safety, legal, and contractual exceptions. TRIANGULATE does not control Anthropic's systems. You can use the fixed reserve-bank experience without enabling generative mode.

Optional server saves

Choosing “Save my results” stores the complete state submitted by the three modules, including written responses and computed reports, in TRIANGULATE's SQLite database. Saves expire after 180 days by default. The view code works like an unlisted link: anyone who has it can read the saved material. A separate owner token, kept only in this browser, is required to update or delete the save.

Opening a view link on another device does not transfer ownership. That device can create a separate private copy. Deleting an owned save also deletes its observer invitations.

Observer invitations

An owner can create a 30-day invitation for one intimate observer or one practical observer. The observer cannot see the subject's answers or report. Their structured ratings and optional notes are stored with the invitation and are visible only to the save owner.

Optional research contribution

Nothing is contributed automatically. A completed report may offer a separate button to contribute limited measurement data. The contribution excludes names, save codes, prompts, written narratives, and quotations. It can include a random browser research ID, numeric estimates, item metadata, response values, completion mode, and finding feedback. It is pseudonymous rather than guaranteed anonymous; do not contribute if those data still feel identifying to you.

Limits and support

No technical system can promise absolute confidentiality. Keep report links private. Do not enter information you would not want processed by the services described above. If a question surfaces acute distress or danger, stop the assessment and contact a trusted person, local emergency service, or crisis service in your area.
